Permitted development allows creation of new homes on previous commercial site
The original 1960s building will be converted from commercial to residential use. The building is of concrete construction and the interior will be stripped out and adapted to house 115 units through permitted development. There will be an additional 25 new build units in two new storeys constructed on top of the current building. Externally, old cladding will be removed and replaced with a brick facade, including balconies to many apartments.
PJCE supplied structural designs for the project, including a steel frame structure for the vertical extension, illustrated in the 3D model.
