New build apartment building by Regal London
The demolition of two substantial Victorian houses cleared space for the construction of this new residential apartment building for Regal London. A single storey basement created space for private parking and leisure facilities, including a swimming pool.
The basement structure was designed as contiguous auger bore piled walls with reinforced concrete lining, ground bearing basement slab foundations and a flat slab transfer structure to the ground floor over.
The superstructure was designed as a precast concrete floor plate with load-bearing masonry walls. The fourth floor penthouse structure was designed using a combination of steel cranked frames and beams, with timber infill rafters and joints maximising the internal space.
